GP Specialist Trainees

The practice is a training practice and a Registrar can be attached to the practice for periods of six months to two years. Registrars are fully qualified doctors with experience in hospital medicine. On occasions there will be video recordings of patient consultations, to which the patient must give written consent. The video recording is used as a training tool and concentrates on the Registrar. Patients can request that the video camera be switched off at any time and no recording will be made of intimate physical examinations. Medical students may sit in on surgery consultations or attend home visits. The doctor or receptionist will advise if a student is present.

Our Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP), Sheila Lemmon and John Rysdale, are registered nurses who have taken specific advanced nurse training.  The ANP provides and additional and complimentary Service to your doctor and will be available for independent consultations.
